A Facebook QR code can open a business page, a group, or an event. Pages and events are usually the most useful for print, because a page collects reviews and opening hours, and an event lets people mark themselves as interested and get reminders. Pick the one that matches what you want someone to do right after scanning.

Check visibility before printing. Pages are public by default, but groups can be private and events can be limited to invited guests. If the code opens something a stranger cannot see, they will hit a log-in or permission screen. Test in a private browser window to see what someone without a Facebook account will see.

Events end and new ones begin. For a poster that stays up all year, such as a community noticeboard or a venue entrance, a dynamic QR code lets you switch the destination from last month's event to the next one without changing the poster.

Facebook opens in its app if it is installed. Some people avoid Facebook entirely, so for important details such as times or prices, put them on the printed material too rather than relying on the link.
