QR Code Data Collection

When you create a QR code, we collect the following information:

The URL you want the QR code to link to

The name you give to your QR code

Date and time of creation

Your account information (if logged in)

QR Code Scanning & Analytics

📊 For paid QR codes with analytics enabled, we collect anonymized scan data.

When someone scans a paid QR code with analytics enabled, we collect:

Timestamp

When the scan occurred

Country/Region

Approximate location (country-level)

Device Type

Mobile, tablet, or desktop

Browser/OS

Browser and operating system

IP Hash

SHA-256 hashed (not reversible)

Referrer

Where the scan came from

🔒 Privacy First: We never store actual IP addresses. All IPs are immediately hashed using SHA-256 and cannot be reversed to identify individuals.

Please note:

Free tier QR codes do not collect any scan analytics

Third-party websites linked via QR codes may have their own privacy policies
